1. Visiting the website
When you open the website, the server processes your IP address and the data your browser sends (such as browser type and language) for technical reasons, to serve the page in the right language. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Retention: we keep no visit logs; this data is not stored after the request is served.
2. Waitlist
Data: email address, chosen language, if given: your answer on how much you would pay, time of sign-up. Purpose: telling you when the app launches, and shaping pricing based on aggregated answers. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by email. Retention: 12 months after the app launches, or until you withdraw consent. We never use your email for anything else, share it or sell it.
2a. Emergency card (nestnod.com/v/)
If a Nestnod user added you as their key-holder neighbor, during an alert you receive a text with a link valid for 24 hours. Only with that link does the page show the person’s details (name, address, access information, medical info, family phone numbers), and we record that the link was opened. The link’s identifier never reaches the web server; your browser requests the data directly from the database. Legal basis: the vital interests and consent of the person concerned (GDPR Art. 6(1)(d) and (a), Art. 9(2)(a) and (c)).
3. Cookies
Necessary cookies (no consent needed): nn_lang – the language you chose by hand, 1 year.
Apart from this, the website uses no cookies, does not track visitors, and runs no advertising or analytics code.
4. Processors
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) – website hosting. Data stays in the EU.
- Supabase Inc. – waitlist database, stored in the European Union (Paris, France), under a data processing agreement and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (SCC).
Fonts are served from our own server. Without your consent, no data reaches Google, OpenAI or any other third party when you visit.
5. Google Search Console and ad measurement
Google Search Console shows us how the website appears in Google Search (aggregated search statistics). No Google code runs on the website and no data about you reaches Google.
We may advertise Nestnod in ChatGPT; no measurement code currently runs on the website.
6. Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing and data portability, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw your consent at any time. We reply within 30 days at the email above. You can lodge a complaint with the Hungarian data protection authority (NAIH, naih.hu), your local authority, or a court.
7. Security
The website is only available over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Nobody can access the waitlist data from outside; only the controller can see it.
